The PBP is over and a lot of people finished. It was exciting to see everyone coming in. My mom, Barbara Blacker, and I went out to Ludeac and cooked for around 12 riders at a Gite. That was really fun and pretty tiring as well.. We made LOTS of pasta for dinner and egg scrambles for berakfast. I'll put in the arrival and departure times again soon. Sadly because the weather wasn't the best, a bunch of riders either DNF-ed or DNQ-ed (did not finish or did not qualify) The weather made the ride all the harder this year. We went out for only half an hour to put signs out to mark a road to the gite.... and we came back soaking wet! I'll put up more pictures and arrival and departure times from the gite soon!

Yesterday a bunch of guys went on little "warm up" rides. Somebody told me that she and her group followed the Australians and they ended up not taking the route but got lost somewhere else around a bike shop. Today are the bike inspections and the group photos. People I think are starting to get a little nervous as well as excited. last night a bunch of people from SIR went out to dinner with us in ST. Quentin at Pizza Pino's right under the Campanille. It was really fun!! Now my mom and I are getting ready to head up to ludiac in a couple of days (near the half way point).. We'll be cooking there for a couple of days with Barbara Blacker for a few of the riders coming through. Well, that's all for now!! Everybody seems to be fine!

well, most riders have arrived! - some without bikes or baggage, but they're all looking hopeful to have either their bike or A bike by the time the ride start on monday evening. Most of the riders have gone out for a ride in St. Quentain (sp?) They put their bikes together last night and made sure things were working ok. You can feel the excitement kind of buzzing in the air and you can meet riders from all over the U.S. We're staying at the Novotel by the golf course. the other riders are staying mostly at the Mercur or the Campanille. A lot of the riders are checking out the bike shops in the area either in hopes of getting a bike for the ride or hoping to get another... you know how that goes.... We migt be going shopping today for a suitable drop bag; it's either my carry on bag or a new drop bag.... I'll take the drop bag over the luggage. The people here are very helpful and the food is good! and thank goodness most people here speak english!!! That's all for now!
